Diagnostic tests for virus SARS-Cov-2 detection

RAPID ANTIGEN TEST. Detects the structural and functional proteins (antigens) of SARSCov-2 and provides a qualitative response on presence of the pathogen in the patient’s sample. The test delivers results very quickly (15 minutes). In case of positivity to Rapid antigen test,  in order to have a certain and final response on coronavirus infection, it is advisable to perform a molecular swab.

MOLECULAR SWAB. It allows to diagnose a coronavirus infection inside the body, by detecting its RNA’s presence. The inspection takes place by analyzing a molecular sample collected with a cotton bud tampon rubbed over the mucous membrane (pharynx/nose). Such test provides a certain and final response on positivity or negativity to coronavirus, right after the test.
